About the Project
For the owner of a detached house in Gliwice, we completed a 10 kWp photovoltaic installation integrated with a HUAWEI LUNA2000 energy storage unit with a capacity of 10 kWh. The investor uses an air-source heat pump and had an annual energy consumption of 9,500 kWh, so the key objective was to maximise coverage of demand with solar energy.
We used 24 Canadian Solar HiKu6 panels rated at 415 Wp each, mounted on the south-facing slope of the pitched roof. The HUAWEI SUN2000-10KTL-M1 hybrid inverter works directly with the LUNA2000 storage, creating an integrated energy management system. The 10 kWh usable storage capacity allows daytime production surpluses to be stored and used in the evening and at night, when the heat pump draws the most energy.
Thanks to intelligent energy management via the FusionSolar platform, the system automatically optimises energy flow — it prioritises current consumption, then charges the storage, and only exports surpluses to the grid. The achieved self-consumption rate of 78% means the investor purchases only around 2,000 kWh from the grid annually, translating into annual savings of over PLN 7,000.
